Cantemus 2006 is over in the blink of an eye. There’s this 空虚感 now cos there’s nothing for us to get busy over? Not that I liked the feeling of being away from my family the whole weekend but it’s the emptiness left when you spend weeks and months worrying over details and all and suddenly, it just all disappears. Quite sad, if you ask me.

Cantemus 2006 was, in my eyes, a bit of a disappointment. I don’t know why but I guess we weren’t as prepared as we should have been. Musical was my heart and pride but some people had to screw it up for us. This was a huge production considering the costumes and props we had to come up with. Choreography was WOW!! The choreographers worked well together and I guess I can safely say the dances were the best I’ve seen throughout my 4 years in choir: 2 different groups of cabaret girls, a boyband, a romantic slow dance by 8 couples and an all-guys bouncy n light dance.. (Haha! I’m praising myself but heck! This is my blog! Give me a break!) Amazing thing was, I wasn’t even that upset over the 1st half of the concert! Haha! Maybe cos deep down inside, I too expected it.

Someone said she feels we shouldn’t have gone on stage without being prepared but think about the many many administration and financial problems we’ll have to settle if we were to postpone our concert. If we had money and time in our hands, I’d postpone the concert with no hesitation too! But there are just too many things to think about and consequences to worry about if we were to do that and we don’t have the manpower or high-enough reputation to do that.

Anyway, all that aside, Cantemus 2006 was still a fun experience overall! Got my sis n cousins to come help out with the gals’ hair! I hope they enjoyed themselves man… Though it prob was tiring for them and I made them starve! Sorry! Haha! The most fun part was probably the pouring glitter and spraying of hair spray all over the gals’ hair during the interval? Yup! =p Oh ya! I actually had friends telling me that I looked so slutty when we were being Kooky’s gals and holding Cupid hostage! Woohoo!! Breakthrough in acting!! *mad*
